Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY], operating REGEN ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and retains personal data when you use our video remastering service.

Controller

The controller for your personal data is [LEGAL ENTITY], located at [ADDRESS], Germany. You can contact us at [EMAIL] for any data protection inquiries.

Purposes and legal bases

We process your data for three main purposes: to provide the REGEN remaster service (account management, upload handling, scene generation, and delivery), to process billing and payment, and to provide customer support. The legal basis for providing the service is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, because the processing is necessary to perform our contract with you. The legal basis for service security, fraud prevention, and platform integrity is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, where our legitimate interest is to keep the service safe and reliable.

Categories of data

We process account data (name, email, login credentials), payment metadata handled by Stripe, and the video content you upload. Uploaded video content may include images of identifiable persons, so you are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent before uploading.

Processors and international transfers

We use carefully selected processors: Supabase for hosting and database services, Stripe for payment processing, Google Gemini API for AI processing, [Seedance provider] for video generation, Railway for infrastructure, and Resend for transactional emails. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

Retention

Your uploaded video files and generated outputs are stored for 30 days after a project is completed, then deleted. Ledger and billing data are retained for as long as required by applicable statutory retention periods, typically for tax and accounting purposes.

No training use

We do not use your uploaded content or generated outputs to train machine learning models. Your files are processed only to generate your requested remaster.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.
